“Regiyah”  or Temporary Ceasefire is the theme being illustrated in various galleries of the Eshkol Region.

In Kibbutz Magen, ‘Gallery Kitor’ has a Photography Exhibit; Kibbutz Nirim’s Gallery “HaMachon” is showing Ceramic Sculptures; Kibbutz Be’eri’s ‘Be’eri Gallery’  is  exhibiting Video work and Drawings; Kibbutz Urim is featuring work by Ron Gang and the White House Gallery, Kibbutz Nir-Oz, is featuring sculptures done by artists from the region.

Here are a few examples of sculptures presently on exhibit at the White House Gallery.

Come to the White House Gallery to see many more interesting pieces done by local sculptors.
Each piece displayed is presented in the spirit of this temporary feeling of Ceasefire. It sits on an uneasy feeling of ‘any moment now’ – any moment it could all disintegrate into active military action.
Haim Perry, curator of this exhibit at the White House, has arranged the pieces on ammunition boxes. ‘This ceasefire is supported by ammunition’, he comments. Nothing’s to be taken for granted.
