Thursday Update: Building the New School Ma’ale Habsor & Habsor

This week we see structure, walls and cement floors.

It’s great. I also see the beginnings of two other complexes. This school is definitely moving along.

What’s New?

  • Summer is hanging on, though there are rumours of cooler evenings.
  • Tzipi Livni is the head of Kadima.
  • Students from Grade 8 in Ma’ale Habsor are beginning to make connections with 8th Graders in Bet Shraga, in Albany. This week, we started to create cards for Rosh Hashana.

As for security, so far we’ve been experiencing relative quiet. The news relates stories of sporadic qassams and today’s story of a tunnel collapse killing 2 Palestinians using the tunnel to bring goods into Hamas-controlled Azza.

Still, Rosh Hashana is approaching and along with hope for a meaningful continuation of the cease-fire, we hope to find a rhythm of working towards our goal of ultimate peace.

Don’t forget to click onto Shakoof, for updated news.

And, most of all, don’t forget to write. Bring your stories of the Otef Azza area to the public awareness. Write me with suggestions.

Thanks to all for reading.

    Hi Batya,
Yes! It’s moving quickly. We’re hoping that by the time it’s finished there’ll be peace. A wonderful Murphy’s Law inversion.
    Hope all’s well with you!

talking now is honoured. We’ll see how we can actively participate in Shakoof. Thanks for the invitation, Ory.

  4. Judih –
Why don’t you write a short series on the situation and feelings in ‘Otef Gaza for Shakoof?
    Field journalism, so to speak.
